THE MINIMALIST MOM:
This may be your second time around. You are the mamma keeping it light. Your philosophy in life is “less is more”. This maybe your second time around, or lugging in and out all that unnecessary stuff stresses you out. You know you’re bringing home a lot more than you came in with, including a new baby!
The key to this checklist is to use what the hospital provides: their pillows, pads & panties (they really are the best), toiletries, food, you get the gist. Focus on doing what you came here to do (give birth to that beautiful baby!) and everything else will fall into place.
THE GIRL SCOUT:
You are the mamma who wants to be prepared, but still doesn’t want to bring too much. You’re the kind of gal who believes in anticipating needs and being able to meet them. What if it’s cold in the hospital? What if I need some tunes during birth or the hospital stay? What if I hate hospital food? The key is to think about what you may need balancing with how much mental and physical space those items will take up in your bag.
THE POSH MOM:
You are the mamma who knows the power of comfort during what might be a difficult time. If mamma is happy, everyone is happy! Atmosphere and familiarity can turn a so-so experience into something beautiful.
